“Quench Your Thirst-a song written by Dave Garner and Gigi Love”

My friend Dave passed away on April 19th, 2009. He was just getting back into playing his guitar, singing and writing before he died. Sarah, his girlfriend found some lyrics in his journal and she gave them to me to see if they might fit into a song. On the night I started writing Quench Your Thirst I was overwhelmed with feelings of loss, deep longing, and strong emotions overall. I wrote 3 verses and then chorus, and remembered I had Dave’s lyrics, which are the 3rd and 5th verse. I sang his words to the tune I’d come up with and they fit perfectly with the song I was writing. It all come together so hauntingly, that I truly feel like it was meant to be. Dave’s words complete the song and reached out to me and to all who know him from across the veil to let us know he is with us. Dave, rest in peace now and come back to us again someday. Love, Gigi
